it's like taking Kurt Cobain out of Nirvana and still calling it Nirvana

My eyes are bleeding from watching too many Fuel vids on youtube. Old times...

I miss Brett Scallions! And I'm really angry that he had to leave Fuel. I loved that band since I was 16/17. Now there's a band out there who sings Fuel's songs, but it's not Fuel. ANd the vocalist... argh. I won't even start!

Fuel aint Fuel without Brett. Dammit!

side note:
I'm a sucker for rock bands whose vocalist plays the guitar as well. Brett rocks at the guitar!

    Well if it wasn't the new guy, you would have had Chris Daughtry. But he turned it down.

    hemorrhage in your eyes lynn?!..yeah..i agree...i think cris would've given fuel justice...uhm..so would this also apply if you take out all the band members and leave the vocalist in?!...

    Depends on who "leads" and who writes the songs. Case in point: Rivermaya.

    there was 2 bands that did the same thing. its like kurt or vocals for spider silk dress is the brain. once gona body stops and the soul is no more. its sad. speaking of... need to look up spider & see what she doing, that for the reminder.

    ah so much pain. Brett sings with his heart (or so it seems). and this whats-his-name's personality just don't give Fuel justice. i wish Carl Bell didn't stick with the name Fuel.

    i don't think anybody would've given Fuel justice. Brett is something. there are bands who pulled it off with new vocalists but Fuel is Brett+Carl. Take one out and it's not Fuel anymore.

    sorry for my very strong opinion on this but i believe Fuel is 1/3 Brett, 1/3 Carl Bell and 1/3 the rest. it's not working for me without Brett. plus the new guy is an eye sore. =/

    hehehe... sorry ha. i was carried away. i was watching vids kasi of Fuel for two straight days na, and I hated how the new guy transformed Fuel's image. buti sana kung in a good way.

    i miss the Sunburn days!!! huhuhu... wuahhh!!!

    well Fuel with Brett have hits upon hits upon hits. Toryn's got big shoes to fill really. and don't just listen, dear friend, watch the vids - both music videos and live performances. you'll know why i'm this bitter towards Toryn and Carl Bell.

    and i refuse to listen to any other playlists in my iPod these days. i'm stuck with Fuel. just like more than 10 years ago. the only difference is that i used to play their cassette tape on my walkman. ahhh... good times. =)

    noooo! listen to the entire Sunburn album. nothing's wasted there. then listen to Falls on Me, Empty Spaces, Hemorrhage in my Hands, Bad Day, Innocent...
