Sometimes the sky is more beautiful when you view it from the ground.

I can write my own 'Series of Unfortunate Events' this very moment, but I guess I'll pass. August left me gasping for air. I thought that it couldn't possibly get worse in September but I was dead wrong. To top all my misfortunes off, I lost my phone and hard-earned cash to a snatcher last night.

Now I'm surviving on change from my dirty pants' pockets and small bills I keep here and there.

But also during these misfortunes I learn who are willing to go out of their way to help. People I thought can never help me/I'm afraid to ask help from, are those who actually reached out. Usually I am the one who comes running with a basketful of goodies, but this time I have to admit my defeat and let a little sunshine in from other people's lives.

Nanay, you are my hero now and foerver. Dad, thanks for helping me believe that there's still good in people, that I should not lose hope in humanity.

Guye and Ponx, my younger siblings, thank you for the help. Babawi ako, promise.

Lemon, my little munster, thanks for reminding Mum that I lose only the less important things in life.

The Happy Geeks, thanks for the sympathy. It feels great to have friends. You're the one possession they can never take away from me. I'm so sorry that I have been absent lately, and I guess I'll be invisible for a little longer. I'll see you in October.

Friends, thank you for your virtual hugs. One of these days I'll collect them my self.

Guys please continue praying for me. I need all the positive energy I can get. My own negativity is starting to ruin my life for me. I guess I am what I feel indeed.

Last night, on my way to work, a snatcher swiped my purse right from my hand. I was in a hurry, I was late for work. Little did I know that I'll never make it work anyways.

Talk Like A Pirate Day

SEPTEMBER 19, 2008 Friday is International Talk Like A Pirate Day (www.talklikeapirate.com) and this year, Black Pearl Philippines intends to put Manila on the map of worldwide celebrations. Let's show those pirates in America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Polar Regions that piracy (apart from DVD and what goes on in the Sulu Sea) is alive and rocking in the Philippines.

So on Friday, September 19th, we celebrate at Eastwood. Beginning with dinner and mingling with the guests at Il Pirata and then moving on to Club Dredd for the following band performances:
