Wednesday night, my friends at the office and I met in Makati to give our Peter his "stag" party. He's getting married on Saturday. I remember that some two years a go, I was teaching this guy a couple of tricks of the trade. Well look at him now - he's tying the know tomorrow. How time flies.
Peter is not your typical makalaglag-*bleep* kinna guy. He's good-looking, that's a given, and he's got this aura about him that makes the girls (and matronic women) go ga-ga. I know very little of him, but that's enough to make me like him. He's consistently a gentleman, though sometimes very pabling. And through our bondings I've come to know how deep this person is, what he's gone through in life.
And now he's about to share his life with his long-time love. Because he got too busy with all the preparations, we barakos (yeap, I'm included) made plans to give him a night he'd remember. It was actually a last-minute plan (or lack of it), but I couldn't miss it for all the world. I had to hurry home, take a shower and fly to Makati with Jey.
We had dinner at Yellow Cab before we drove to this KTV bar in Jupiter. IThanks a lot! I have colds!!! I can't sing even if it saves my life. Then Jey said, "at kailan pa napigilan ng sipon ang videoke" (since when did colds get in the way if videoke)? Nga naman. Before I knew it, I was singin my lungs out (as always). Medyo ngongo nga lang, but I think I did a fine job trying not to make it rain.
I laughed so much that night I ended up with a migraine. And all the screamin and singin gave me sore throat. Ah heck. Peter won't be single forever. Had so much fun singin the hits of the eighties (napaghahalata ang edad) like Gold, Upside Down, Buttercup, Light and Shade (na di namin mapasukan ang chorus), among others. We were one crazy bunch of monkeys. We even harassed the waiters. Hehe...
I miss them already. If only I can go out with them more often (which is close to impossible, hehe).
To Peter, I wish you all the best. As I've told you that night, I'm not the best person to give advice if you want your marriage to last forever (hehe...). But I do believe in the sanctity of marriage, and if your marriage worked out, then good for you. May God bless you with little munsters, I mean, angels. Best wishes!

Post Script: of all nights, nobody brought a camera tonight. Nothing to remind us of this crazy night we had. Oh well, I guess the memories will suffice. =)
