Memoirs of an Octoberian Bash Survivor - from what's left of my brain.

I haven't been blogging for quite sometime. I guess I just got too tired of complaining about how The Universe is Conspiring against me nonstop that I refuse to expound on it through my blogs.

But hey, this time it's different. And the Happy Geeks did it again!  Say hello to my 2nd Octoberian Party!

Byahe pa lang, solve na!

Fresh from a volleball game I never finished, I was an hour late for my meetup with Nelson. He was too nice not to scold me when I arrived. Picked up Nick and Alec at CBTL Gateway. I partly rolled the car window down and shouted at Alec, "magkano?" The expressions on the coffee people's faces were priceless!

Dropped by Santuario de San Antonio to pick up Karen's goodies for the party. Sadly she couldn't make it to the the wild night. She looked smashing in her little black funeral dress tho. I remember last year's Octoberian party, both of us showed up in Red Devil's Horns. I knew then I'm going to like her.

On to the hour-long trip. I seriously couldn't stop laughing whenever we talk about Alec's bus story and his MRT misfortune. Sorry for laughing so hard, bro. Plus there's also Alec and his Camel Toes. And let's not forget Nick and his moments. Poor Nelson had to endure everything!

Stretching muna bago main event!

You know what they say - it's best to do warm up exercises before the game to avoid sore muscles. Oneal gave me a shot of Mojitos (tama ba?) which I shamelessly diluted with tons of ice. My shoulder muscles started to stiffen (always during my first drink) and hurt so bad that I had to go inside and rest on the couch. I thought I'd spend the night sleeping in the guest room, considering I haven't had decent sleep all week. Fortunately, my shoulders started to relax and the pain eventually went away. Ron thought I was drunk. Far from it, buddy! I was just getting started!

Send in the clowns.

As I consumed shot after shot of Malibu(g) - thanks, K - I started to get reminded why I'd travel forty kilometers to party with The Happy Geeks when my body could use eight hours of sleep. There wasn't a dull moment, except of course when I needed to use the Little Nun's Room. Paul and the old age jokes, The Century Egg, Beej's Jolog Jokes, The Egg with RC (if you don't have Sarsi) - ah, I didn't start calling then The Happy Geeks for nothing.

The Happy Horse.

Enter The Garapata. Tobie arrived with his BFF, Tom. Yes Tom, you did look dead serious. Tobie introduced me to The Happy Horse (no, not HIS Happy Horse). Finding one is like getting to the Candy Mountain, only better.

When our supply ran out, Tobie and I drove to the nearest Mini Stop. No San Mig premium but there were lots of Red Horse. The girl at the counter proactively offered The Happy Horse to Tobie. Tsk tsk... I didn't know he was a regular there. We got two 1L and one 500mL bottles of The Happy Horse. I was rather amused! Then he bought packs of Extra Joss. Let's get the Geeks extra religious, he said.

The cup that never overflows.

It must've been the EJ in The Happy Horse. Usually after two bottles of Red Rse I'm already either down or effortlessly naughty (even for the naughty geeks). Surprisingly I downed glass after glass of Red Rse and Malibu(g) and I wasn't getting tipsy. The laugh trip though was giving me a major migraine. All the dirty talks I've had in the past paled in comparison to this night's Veranda Talk.

This guy's inlove with you, pare!

It started with us sinnging The Smokey Mountai's Kahit Habang Buhay and ended up with Tobie and Dek completing PNE's This Guy's Inlove with You, Pare. Emphasis on "bading na bading sa'yo."

Yeap, you heard right.

And I know I'd probably mess up most of the things people said that night. I was on autopilot. Here are the best convesations I've had and overheard. Please remind me of the others. I sure don't wanna forget them.

* * * * *
Tom (after we got "showered" by the wine Paul was trying so hard to un-cork): OMG Paul! (tastes wine on arm) So this is what aged wine tastes like!
Paul: So you're in to the age joke too?
* * * * *
Paul (growling, when Madonna's song is on the Videoke): yeah, Borderline!!!
Tom: what???
* * * * *
Me: Pang t*** lang ako!
Jovan: (points at Dek) eh bakit sya, nakikit*** rin naman sya ah!
* * * * *
Nick: blah blah blah blah blah
Me: So are you gay?
Nick: blah blah blah blah blah
Me: Are you gay?
Nick: blah blah blah blah blah
Me: Are you gay?
Nick: blah blah blah blah blah
Me: Are you gay?
Nick: NO!!!
* * * * *
Me: Para kang Centaur na binaliktad. Instead of the lower body, yung upper body mo ang horse.
Dek: Ayaw mo pa talaga ng tikbalang eh, no? Nagpakahirap ka pang magdescribe!
Tobie: (died laughing)
* * * * *
Tobie: I used to just pass by this place and say awww... ang sasaya nila. Nakakainggit!
* * * * *
Me: Gay guy yata talaga ako nung past life ko. I enjoy their sense of humor so much!
Tobie: And kasi nagkaka-crush ka sa bakla.
Me: That too.
* * * * *
Tom: U... rim?

Special Thanks.

Ron: Happy Birthday, dude! Thanks for letting us desecrate your temple. I'm glad you're not THAT religious, hehehe...

The Roseros: Thanks so very much!!! I hope there's next time.

Nelson: For the ride and the great music. I owe you!

Karen: For the booze and the Halloween Bags. Lemon went crazy over them (the bags, not the booze!)

Tobie: For introducing me to The Happy Horse and to EJ. I'll never look at The Red Rse the same way again.

To all Octoberian Geeks: Thank heavens you were born. Rock on!
