Rock and rollin family time and more
After having a very nutritious 10-minute mac and cheese (100% RDA salt and artificial colorings, 1000% cholesterol)for dinner, I rushed my butt off to Dish, ABS-CBN. I planned this night especially for my daddy, whom I know would enjoy this one particular gig more than I probably would. Nanay went too, and so did my younger siblings. It was indeed a family night, and it hasn't happened in almost a decade. I promised daddy he'd have the night of his life.
You see, my dad used to be in a band too. When I was born, he gave up "stardom" and moved on to a more, well, mediocre job. In the back of my mind I'm sad for the carefree, happy past that I know they've had.
There was a lot of screamin (mostly from our table) and singin and dancing. There was definitely dancing, though there were like four of us who lost all connection to human reason and occupied the entire floor. I told you we were with the living dead.
Oh how I love the 60's! I love the clothes, I love the music, I love the attitude. Sometimes I think I would have been happier if I lived in the 60's. Nah... Living now is better. Living now gives us the opportunity to enjoy the 60's up to the current stuff and what-nots, and if we live long enough and if we continue being to open to new things, then we'll be able to enjoy what the future will bring.
And before leaving Dish, I happen to talk with Jayjay and Pepe's cool parents. Of course at first I din't know who they were. Hehe... They're really nice and though mighty proud of their kids, they didn't sound brag-y at all. Not one bit.
So there. In one night I had the Bloomfields singing my most favoritest, almost forgotten songs, I had my entire biological family to look back at the past with, and I had my friends to be nasty with. It was one of the best nights of my life. I can get used to this.
I am getting OLD.=)

Now I'm in the office, fighting off lack of sleep with a couple cups of coffee and not-so-loud 60's music from my PC. Man I needed that break!
