That Infectious Blog

Here are my seven results (so far). I couldn't help but laugh. =)

1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal.

He'll Always be Sir William to Me.

Godspeed, Will. You've changed your stars. Now find your way back home.

Fare thee well, Sir William Thatcher

This can't be real. He's only my top fave actor, even rivaling my fondness for Johnny Depp. A Knight's Tale is my favorite movie of all time, next to The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Most people know him as 1/2 of Brothers Grimm. He's also the irritatingly charming young man who stole antisocial Kat Stratford's heart in 10 Things I Hate About You. He's the perfect Casanova. And oh, who could ever forget about his role in Brokeback Mountain! But of course I will always love him as William Thatcher, son of a poorfolk who dreamed that one day he could change his stars. And he did. Now he leaves us with The Dark Knight.

I got so sad when I read about this awful awful news. He's really a huge loss. And I don't really go ga-ga over actors but I sure am nuts about Heath. He was such a great actor. Believe me when I say, I really cried for him.

So goodbye for now, Sir Ulrich von Lichtenstein. As his beloved squire, friend and tailor, Roland said, "all things must come to an end." So this is his. I was just wishing he died a more noble death, like the Knight I came to know and love. But of course I'm choosing fantasy again over reality.

Farewell, Sir William Thatcher. You'll be missed. Terribly.

Another Chance to be Unselfish Today

Later, members of the WhoWeAreInstead (Philippine-based community of Jars of Clay fans), with assistance from Alay Pag-Asa, are going to party with kids from an urban poor community in Mandaluyong. There's going to be gift-giving, games, snacks, singing and definitely lots of laughter. Plus a surprise appearance of the Pirates (members of Black Pearl Philippines, to which I also belong). I'll be dressed as a pirate and I'll host the program together with fellow WWAI member and friend, Fer. This is gonna rock!

I love partying with kids, especially with those who'd benefit from it more than others. They make me feel good about being able to actually do something to make other people happy, for a change. They help me forget about my own selfish concerns. Simply put, I learn to be a person for the world, not just for my self. Oh, to see the world again in the eyes of a child!

Kudos to my friends from WhoWeAreInstead for organizing this event. You guys remind me to always have hope in humanity. You help me see that when one's life is touched by God's hands, one can't help but spread the sunshine around. That there's always enough for everybody.

For now I gotta catch some Zzzz's, or the kids will have a zombie for a host. I'm so excited!!!

Pirates Really Can't be Trusted

Was browsing for pirate costumes when I saw this image. I had to post it here. Really hilarious! :D

Because I wasn't able to join the crew at MOA today (they must be having a blast this very moment sniff..sniff..), I spent the rest of the afternoon browsing for pirate costumes and feeling sorry over and over again. And then I saw this image. Really hilarious! :D
