one unusual senti saturday

as always, this post is late. i've been very tardy lately, and heck i ain't troubled about it.

So there, saturday. Went to Makati to work (yeap, I'm officially spending tuesdays and saturdays in Makati). When I was along Ayala Ave from Makati Ave I heard this stranged noise underneath me, like some gargoyle's playing with the nuts and bolts of my car. Soon enough I learned that I've overused my brake pads. The experience freak me out, imagining stuff like what if I lost the brakes altogether and I end up flying through the windshield due to some freak accident (I should stop watching Final Destination sort of flicks)?

But then again I was looking forward to this nice evening with my beloved ancients. So I said to myself, bahala na. Babagalan ko na lang mag-drive. Ha-ha! As if. Maybe God just got tired of reminding me to drive ever more careful so He just took my brake pads and said, Hah! Galingan mo ha?. Hehe...

^_^

Met with my Anne Rice family at Coffee Bean. Jomi, Emyr and Maya were the early birds. I was half an hour late (ahem, considering that i was just around the corner). New experience today: I parked on my own. Hah! Well to be totally honest, I dint see the usual valet parking guys at GB3. Mwehe...

Louis, as always, was stunning. He lost a lot of weight, and so did Jomi. Emyr, well, he don't have much to lose. Hehe... Mahal kita Emyr. (ahahahahaa...) Emyr looked preppy and cute ( oh yan ha, bawi na ko). Maya, she'll give you the impression that she's very shy, soft-spoken and all. Yeah right. Haha! Ces came afterwards and together we bought our coffees. She dint change much but I think she also lost weight. Ako lang yata nde naglose ng weight. Heehee... Paul came last, fresh from an accident. A motorcycle just smacked him down cold. He had three band-aids on his right elbow. No major stuff, thank God. Louis handed me the vampire journal that we used as sort of a registry during the first gathering. I was ecstatic! But you know deep in my heart I kinna felt sad, like paranoid-sad, like I'm losing my Louis little by little.

Then I noticed that Louis' unusually quiet. I asked if there's something wrong. He wouldn't talk about it at first, but then he couldn't resist Bianca. He followed us to the bar where he told me what had upset him. Oh how my heart broke. For a moment there I was speechless, only able to sigh and say oh, Louis over and over again. I asked him not to be like that, since I haven't seen him in the longest time. I dint wanna see him angry and disappointed.

Spent a good couple o' hours planning for the upcoming event. Can't help but fall inlove with this group over and over again. How their minds work still captivates me after all these months that I'm with them. And with this kind of enthusiasm I'm getting a strong vibe that the upcoming gathering is going to be a blast, maybe even better than the first. We all took responsibilities. I, for example, am going to decorate the place, together with Nii. And I'll also cook.

Alas came the time to go. I almost got sad looking at them leave one by one. But then again I thought of the upcoming gathering and how it would make us all busy for the days to come, especially me, who'd have to contact everyone. I don't mind the responsibility really, since I'm doing it for the ones I love.

And for those who dint make it, hehe... See you soon. ARNIItots, I HATE YOU. =P You better show up anytime soon. We have a lot to talk about, you crazyhead you!

^_^

Drove all the way home praying that I make it in one piece. And I did. I sent Louis a message telling him how I felt that night. He was quick to give me a call. It was a relief to know that the thing that made him angry has been dealt with, and that he does not plan to leave the group nor abandon his love for Anne Rice. He's merely starting on a new adventure, recollecting the books, starting from scrap. Maybe my Louis' starting to become a little like Lestat. ;)

And God said, "You've suffered enough, My child. Why on you go out and have some fun? This one's one me."

THURSDAY

Went to CCP to watch Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros. Half of the show happened outside with friends and familiar faces swarming the place. There's Nii who was awfully busy, Dott who wasn't wearin any makeup (gasp!), Josh whom I met thru Sharee, BK, Jhette and his Bubu, the Talamascan Steph and her protector, and uhhh.... etc etc. Came with my seatmate, Jey and my not-so-lil lil sis, Ponkai.

The movie was F-U-N-N-Y! It sure sent me laughing so hard my ego cracked. I was sitting beside Dott who obviously was his usual self. well sanay na ko, so wala ko care. What i know is that I was havin a great time. Good clean fun indeed (i din't even smoke a stick!!!).

Ganda ng film. So real. It's like you're watching from your own window. At ang guapo ng pulis!!! Wala namang ganung pulis eh... hahaha!

Long live the Indie film industry!!!

SATURDAY

Met with my JARRUM friends. It was boys' night out actually, with us SMOKING POPES. hehe... Glenn, Fer and I met at Starbux, 6750. We talked about everything from hepatitis to aids to love life (Lynn: Ikaw Glenn, how's ur lovelife? Glenn: ganito, meron akong love, at meron akong life. Unfortunately, di sila magkasma. haha...). Then we went back to the car (actually a trasure hunt because i cannot remember where i parked. nyaha!). Ang masaya pa nito, nawala wala na naman kami looking for Makati Rep. Buti na lang okay ang songs sa NU107 that time. We had a barrel of beer, sisig and spicy dilis, lotsa cancer sticks and tons of kwento. The conversation became a lil heavy by the time we're halfway through the barrel. At the end of the night, we were all drunk and happy. Nagambisyon pa kaming mag videoke but then fullhouse sa cafe nearby. So there, we decided to have coffee instead. At dahil sa kalasingan ko, di ko napansin na pauwi na pala ako at kasama ko pa pala sila!!! Major loser talga ko sa driving. So they had to catch a cab from QC all the way back to Makati. Hehe... Well according to them it's really just an extension of the night out. =)

So, without much ado, here are the pixx:

Just about the only pic i've got. Running late again actually... =(

elysium with a twist

i almost dint make it. had this really bad thing going on at the office and i'm drained beyond exhaustion. i was so depressed, and for the first time since i joined the company i seriously thought of finding greener pastures.

if not for these two friends i incidentally saw at the fete, maybe i just locked myself up at home, flapping my wings and drawing things on the wall with my fingers. they really wanted to go to the elysium (for some reason i cannot reveal here). the ultimate babysitter - that's me. and it was fun.

all through the night i referred to these gurls as HUMAN SACRIFICES. ha-ha. arrived late, which was not like me. i'm always early on gigs. i'm usually drunk by the time the first band gets on stage. tonight must be something special.

and indeed it was.

DOTT was there, and as always, he was breathtaking. NII, the ever perky, was well, perky. hehe... she introduced me to RENT, who was rather nice and very cute. magkaibigan ba talga kayo? ;) saw a friend of a friend, the vocalist of AtomFLot, SOL. KNELL was friendly. i really enjoyed our talk. he's so down to earth.

and the major twist...

someone tapped me on my right shoulder. when i turned around i saw this really cute gurl.

OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!! SHAREEEEEE!!!!

there i lost it. sharee's the ate of my ex. she's so cute, which makes me wonder why her lil bro wasn't. LOLx... nah i was just kidding. she hasn't changed a bit. she's still this excited lil girl i knew. at parang mas bad girl na ko sa kanya ngayon. we couldn't help but talk about the not-so-distant past and laugh about it. twas really fun seeing people you haven't heard from in years.

and God i miss them. i miss mama cora, i miss shaje, i miss the house, and sige na nga...even the ex. wahahaha... but hello, knowing the person i've become...haha...NVM.

then it's bye bye time.

we stayed til 2 and drove like the insane wind. as usual, nakipagkarera na naman ako sa mga trucks and buses. ang saya. i was home in 20 minutes. goodluck waking up at 5 am to get the kid ready for school. goodluck lang talga.

and this i realized: as my corporate slavery becomes more and more depressing, my social life is thriving. =)
